In Corso Italia, one of the most famous shopping streets, there are many shops and unique boutiques. From top designer boutiques, antique shops and luxury jewellers to floral arrangements, decorative items, fabrics, gift items and, above all, superb interior design items and accessories that reflect the precious local craft tradition, Cortina has something to tempt everyone.
Cortina d’Ampezzo is synonymous of music, film, art, gastronomy, architecture, literature and history; in one word, culture. Many meetings during the winter season and the summer one: authors of books, sports, debates with politicians etc.
There are three museums: the Paleontological Museum, dedicated to the fossils of the Dolomites, the Museum of Modern Art Mario Rimoldi with one of the most important collections of twentieth century Italian and the Ethnographic Museum, which illustrates through objects and images the tradition of the Ampezzo valley.
Besides skiing, Cortina offers the possibility to practice various sports: tennis, canoeing, golf, ice skating, etc..
At night the Queen of the Dolomites offers bars, clubs and discos.
